Introductory Post

Ah we are official blogging! Now that we have our website, Facebook and Twitter up and running we have decided to work our way over into the blog world! We are so excited to use this as an outlet to share news, information and advice to brides and grooms around the world! Here are just a few pieces of advice to get you started-make sure you check back in for updates!

• ENJOY your engagement, don't rush to plan everything in one week. Enjoy this time, it will fly by!
• Hire professionals! Aunt Susie may be great at gardening, but that doesn't mean that she needs to do an elaborate arrangement for your ceremony.
• Just because you hire professionals, does not mean you have to spend a small fortune-shop around, you can find professionals at a reasonable cost!
• We are kind of biased, but hire a wedding planner, or at least a day of coordinator-he/she will become your best friend-the person you can call at 3 am when you have nightmares about your groom losing the rings, the person who lights the candles the day of the wedding or who even buys the candles when your mom forgot to purchase the unity candle (hey, we've done that one before!) and the person who handles all of those little things that go wrong on your wedding day without you knowing (trust us, things will go wrong)
• Always have a back up plan...whether your ceremony is outside, you are getting married in January and there's a chance of snow, one of your bridesmaids may or may not be able to make it...etc. back up plans are your best friend-no one wants to think about things going wrong but it will be easier to handle things that DO go wrong if you have a back up plan!
